OUR STUDIO
Pimlico, London
Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife duo Matt and Louise, our studio is based in leafy Pimlico, South-West London, though we work across the UK and further afield on projects ranging from heritage townhouses to modern penthouses, sun soaked villas, characterful show homes and more.
We place great emphasis upon both flexibility, in terms of tailoring our approach to suit the nuances of each individual project, as well as transparency when it comes to our fees and procurement of materials.
Whatever the brief or character of a space, we strive to capture the unique style and personality of each client, while removing the stress and decision overload that can so often occur in projects as important as creating a space to call home. Our sister company Braw Joinery design, manufacture and install fitted joinery, as well as beautifully designed custom handmade furniture, to streamline projects and ensure the highest quality throughout the space.

MEET OUR FOUNDERS
Matt and Louise
After many years renovating properties across London, husband-and-wife duo Matt and Louise turned their full focus to interior design in 2015, founding their studio under its former name, Pineapple Interiors.
With shared Scottish roots and time spent between London and the Cotswolds, their varied influences have shaped a rich, bold aesthetic that blends modern character with traditional charm, creating spaces defined by a sense of laidback luxury.

OUR NAME
Why ‘Braw’?
The word braw comes from 15th century Scotland, deriving from ‘brave’ to mean beautiful, of excellence, or, more recently, sexy. Since our founders, too, hail from Scotland (though not the 15th century), it made sense to honour their mother tongue and choose a word which, contrary to its somewhat burly, tough sound, means something the exact opposite.
Our design approach is all about juxtaposition. Heritage and tradition are injected with contemporary vim, nature’s textures offset by manmade materiality, and high luxury is given a laidback, human edge.
So, just like our approach to design, and just like the thistle, Scotland’s national flower, we’ve chosen the name Studio Braw in celebration design’s most pleasing contrasts and all the juxtapositions that provide us with guiding principles: arresting yet approachable, bold yet intricate, daring but enduring.
